First Adventist Church SPECIAL PROJECTS
.

Our Church has a dynamic, awe-inspiring history in the sharing of Bible truth—including God's enduring gift of the Sabbath. We need your support to continue offering inspiring worship opportunities to churches and groups looking for a special, spirit-renewing Sabbath experience.

The Northern New England Conference's Washington General Fund is for the yearly maintenance of the historic site. Each year we spend between $10,000 and $12,000 on the church and Sabbath Trail. Our General fund currently has a negative balance of $1,890.66.

Next year $2000.00 will be used to bring our Annual Meeting Speakers, Merlyn and Cheryl Knowles.  2016 is the twentieth anniversary of the start of the Sabbath Trail.  We need to raise $14,000.00 this year for the yearly maintainance and to bring this fund to a positive balance.

CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!!

NNEC's Washington Special Project Fund is currently supporting construction of the new pavilion, to be built in the woods between the church and the parking lot. This fund has $24,544.74 currently for the building of the pavilion.

This 30 foot by 50 foot pavilion will serve between 90 and 120 people.  It will have storage and netting to protect people during bug season. The estimated cost is $25,000, and we are currently near our goal if material cost remain close to last years prices.  Please help us complete the funding for this project, providing worshipers a sturdy, elegant, multi-purpose space to use on Sabbath visits. It still needs the roof, bug netting, and tables. Any overflow funding will roll over to our next project.

Our next Special Project:

We are raising $20,000 to address the repair of the cemetery stones and rebuilding of the cemetery wall. When we have paid the full cost of the pavilion, the Special Project fund will be used to fund this. The cemetery restoration can be done in smaller pieces. We will begin work as each partial project has funding. We will update you as we begin and make progress.

See Cemetery Repairs for information about the Cyrus Farnsworth Marker.

You can be a part of the development of this enriching, historic site for Sabbath worship and activities, and we greatly need regular, monthly contributions. Visit Online Giving to give toward one of these Special Projects.
